1. Landsat (L5 or L7) Multispectral at a 30 meter
resolution: in-season imagery to assess vegetation for crop vigor,
possible crop stress and yield potential. Crops and vegetation reflect
or absorb light differently in
each colour band including infrared. Our goal is to build a library of
in-season images for users to process in Landscout. The analyzed zones
can be used to guide sampling and for comparison to yield, soil and
other layers of information.
2. Panchromatic (black & white) at a 5 meter
resolution: which is ideal for importing as a background image. All of
these 5 meter images were taken early spring to target bare soil views
and emerging vegetation.
Basemap imagery is used as a base for building farm GIS
mapping systems. These image sets are used to create layers for
referencing field locations, field boundary files and acreage
calculation of the field. We have also adapted an analytical tool to
be able to perform a basic zone creation map in Landscout.
Two purchase options are available:
A: Pay as you go per
square mile downloads.
Navigate to your area of interest to view your fields
and ensure that the image will cover your area. Your download will be
a one square mile image using your chosen 'scene center'.
The quick view of the image is less visually ‘clear’ than the
downloaded image intentionally
B: Yearly subscriptions on a
per acre basis.
You provide field boundaries which are overlaid on the
imagery.
Zoom directly to your field and access all available images, current
or historical, for that location. Your subscription fee entitles
you to unlimited downloads of the uploaded fields for all image dates.
This is designed as a 'just buy what you need' option for those who
require analysis on a field level. As we build the in-season library
of images subscribers will be able to perform comparisons at
different growth stages and between years. Image availability is
limited by image capture and weather conditions.
Your boundaries are only viewable by you on a password protected
basis and remain on the site for a year from your start date.
